Efficiency Improvement of Dual-Receiver WPT Systems Based on Partial Power Processing Control

In wireless power transfer (WPT) system for light electric vehicles (LEVs), adopting dual receivers on the receiver side is an available way to offer a high-current supply. this article, partial processing (PPP) control method proposed optimizing loss of dual-receiver WPT system. With PPP method, only one active rectifiers will be regulated by variable angle phase-shift (VAPS) modulation adjust required under different load demands and misalignment situations. As result, switching two rectifiers, which accounts considerable part overall with high operating frequency, can dramatically reduced. At last, 24 V-50 A-1200 W LEV charging experimental setup verify effectiveness method. Compared conventional distribution based impedance matching VAPS, increase efficiency 6%–7% situations, achieving as >92% at heavy load.
